December - Christmas has arrived 🎅   We spent the weekend transforming the house for Christmas, and it’s now glowing with trees, garlands and plenty of seasonal warmth. Our December newsletter is now ready, filled with local events, Christmas markets, festive outings and everything happening around Bruff and the wider Limerick and Ballyhoura region. From family activities to live music, pantomimes and winter markets, there’s so much to enjoy in the weeks ahead.   We’ve also included our extended holiday closing dates for this year. As our children keep reminding us - with one now in college and another  soon on the way, it’s important for us to take this time to be present with our families too.   Thank you all for your support throughout the year. The dates for the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor have been confirmed, with the biennial matchplay event taking place from 13-19 September. The Limerick course was awarded the event back in 2019, when the tournament was originally envisioned to take place in 2026 until the Covid pandemic pushed back the schedule by a year.   It will mark the second time that Ireland has hosted the event, the K Club having been the scene of Europe's most dominant win on home soil back in 2006, when Ian Woosnam's team won 18.5 to 9.5.   The JP McManus-owned resort at Adare Manor has hosted the Irish Open on two occasions in 2007 and 2008, with Pádraig Harrington becoming the first home winner in a quarter of a century in '07.
