Ballyhoura Walking Festival

torsdag, 2 oktober 2025 - søndag, 5 oktober 2025
8.00AM - 4.59PM
Get your walking boots and join in the 29th Ballyhoura Walking Festival, coinciding with the Joyce Brothers Music Festival, taking place from Thursday, 2nd to Sunday, 5th October 2025.

Established as Ireland’s first-ever walking festival back in the day, it provides an opportunity to explore some of Ballyhoura Country's stunning scenery. Many of the walks are led by members of the Ballyhoura Bears Walking Club – who have in-depth knowledge of the area and its heritage, history, flora, and fauna – and they are suitable for all abilities, from the enthusiastic well-equipped walker who relishes a challenge to the gentle ramblers who are out to enjoy pleasant walks over the course of the weekend.

The full 2025 programme will be revealed soon, so stay tuned for details! In addition to the walks, the festival will again feature a music and cultural component in collaboration with the Joyce Brothers Festival. Celebrating the legacy of PW and Robert Dyer Joyce, natives of Glenosheen, Co. Limerick, this vibrant festival brings music, song, dance, and history to the weekend.
