The Old Bank Bruff is a Four Star Historic Family Town House Home providing the quality and comfort found in any Four star B&B, Guest house or Hotel, but with the personalised service and value for money of a much smaller establishment.
Check in
Check-in time – 5pm to 8pm with latest arrival by prior request to 9pm
As a Family Home our arrival times are to best suit our young families commitments and to accommodate as many guests as possible who wish to maximise their touring day or guests who need to finish their working day and travel to our home.
- For a Early/Later check in times, this must be by prior arrangment depending on availability for a fee of €25.00 per hour.
- Guests collecting keys must be registered guests - ID may be required on check-in to validate and confirm the reservation.
- Early Morning arrivals between 8am -11am can be accommodated by booking the previous night stay to guarantee room availiblity.
- For Groups greater than 3 people checking-in on arrival, we ask that one representative per family/group of rooms checks in the group at our reception desk - while your extended group/ family is asked to take a seat by the open fire.
- Housekeeping is completed daily between 10.30-11.30am for guest staying multiple nights.
- Our Home is strictly registered guests only.
Luggage Storage
Please note we do not have facilities to store luggage pre/post arrival times / check out times.
Check Out
- Latest check out time is 11am
- Early morning checkouts before 8am are self check outs'- simply visit the Reception desk and leave the key on the desk.
- Your bill is paid in full on arrival and a email copy of your receipt is forwarded to the email provided on arrival.
Payment & Incidental Hold
Where a reservation has been pre-paid through a third-party website such as Booking.com, a valid card must still be provided on arrival. A €100 pre-authorisation/hold is placed on the card for any incidental charges or damage that may arise during your stay. This is a temporary card hold and is not a payment or charge. Alternatively, a €100 cash deposit may be held.

We do not accept cards that incur additional processing charges, including:
- American Express
- Cards with reward schemes attached, such as frequent-flyer mileage or reward cards.
Walk-in guests paying by cash:
- A €100 incidental deposit will also be required on arrival and will be refunded on departure, subject to the room being left without damage or additional charges.
All rates are inclusive of applicable taxes and charges.
Cancellation Policy
- For individual reservations cancellations must be received in writing/email 48 hours (12 midday) prior to arrival. In case of cancellations less than 48 hours prior to arrival, or a No Show - a charge of one nights accommodation will be incurred.
- For full details of cancellation policies and deposit requirements, please check at time of booking. (Please note terms and conditions may vary for large group bookings or bookings through third party booking engines - as per there policy).
- In the event that a last minute cancellation is received, we will do our upmost to resell the room(s) and if the room(s) resell- a refund will be made for the value of the room rate resold - minus any commissions payable to another third party website etc.
Breakfast
We offer Room Only rates and Breakfast rates - to allow guests choose what best suits their itineraries and budgets.
- Room only rates do not include Breakfast - Breakfast can be ordered on arrival for €20.00 per person.
- Breakfast is served between 8.00am and 10am (Last service at 9.30am)
- Breakfast times must be confirmed by 8pm on the previous evening stay to ensure personalised table service. For groups of 6 or more people - private self-service can be arranged.
- Breakfast is only available to residents.
- No Night wear or bare feet in breakfast area/ public areas
Food Allergies - We ask that guests let us know prior to arrival about any food allergies they may have. We are happy to provide a range of foods to guests who travel with a doctors letter / certification for their listed allergies - otherwise a supplement of €5 may be payable.
Dining
There are the evening dining experiences in Bruff - Clancy’s Bar & Restaurant takes lasts orders at 7.30*pm each evening. The Chinese restaurant serves takeaway meals till 10 pm each night. Bruff also has 2 chip shops.
Guest Room & Accessibility
As a Historic Townhouse - all our guest rooms are up-stairs and our home has no Lift.
- Two of our single occupancy rooms have walk in showers -Please contact reception to check availabilty prior to arrival.
- Our larger rooms are showers over jacuzzi bathtub with a grab rail.
Family Rooms
Due to the historical features of our home, our home is not suitable for young children under 12.
- A family room consists of a double & single bed. Children over 12 years of age are considered adults.
- Interlinking rooms are available on request- Please contact reception to check availabilty prior to arrival.
- Additional Adult supplement is for a extra adult using existing bedding in the room -we do not provide fold-away beds etc.
Smoking / Damages Policy
The Old Bank operates a strict 100% NO smoking policy throughout. Smoking in a bedroom will result in a €100 refresh fine. Any damages/excessive cleaning will incur additional charges
Guests shall not at any stage cause a nuisance of any kind or behave in an anti-social manner to fellow guests or staff members. Such behaviour will result in your reservation been rescinded with full charges and/or damage charges incured.
Laundry
Please note that we do not have any guest laundry service and ask that guests do not hang freshly washed clothing to drip dry in our rooms.
Travel to our home
The Old Bank is located south east of Limerick City in a village called Bruff approximately 26 km from Limerick city,
- Travelling time between the city and the B&B is approximately 20-30 minutes by car on the R512 Road and By Bus on the 329
- Shannon Airport is approximately 60 minutes from the Old Bank.

Parking
- Parking in our family courtyard is subject to availability and is closed each night from 9:00 pm to 8:00 am each morning.
- Free on-street parking is available in front of our home, or across the road, with no time restrictions or charges. We ask that parking between the supermarket and traffic lights be kept clear for their deliveries.
- We do not take responsibility for the property of our guests, guests park at their own risk.
Bike(s)
Pedal bicycles can be stored in our shed alongside our family's own bikes, within our private and secure courtyard.
Pets
Our home is not suitable for Pets, because we have found many guests in the past have a fear of dogs, allergies etc.
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are between 10.30pm -8.30am.
