Cladh na Leac – A historical talk by Brian Collopy about Lough Gur’s ancient pathways. Booking link click 
This talk highlights Cladh na Leac an ancient prehistoric routeway which runs past the Grange stone circle complex. - Due to an unforeseen demand Lough Gur Development have decided to host a second evening exploring Cladh na Leac, the ancient routeway which runs alongside the famed lake. Cladh na Leac is an oftentimes overlooked prehistoric road which seems to run for many miles over one of Ireland's most impressive archaeological landscapes. The talk is hosted by Brian Collopy, of Lough Gur Development, who has spent many years exploring the monuments and places around Lough Gur. So come and join us for an evening of history, archaeology, landscape, folklore, and placenames, as we celebrate Culture Night 2022 by the shores of Lough Gur.
 
Megalithic Art Talk by Ken Williams & Elizabeth Shee Twohig. Booking link click here
This promises to be a very speical evening with Ken Williams, who discovered the megalithic rock art at the Grange Stone Circle and Elizabeth Shee Twohig, one of the country's foremost experts on prehistoric rock art. Ken Williams is a photographer who specialises in megalithic rock art. He has travelled the country over the past 20 years photographing and discovering ancient art. Dr Elizabeth Shee Twohig is a former senior lecturer in Archaeology in University College Cork. She is a member of the Royal Irish Academy and has written extensively on the topics of prehistoric megalithic and rock art of Western Europe, and on megalithic tombs generally.
 
 
The Lough Gurrrrrr Dog Show takes place on Sunday October 23rd from 2pm to 3pm. Ticket price of €5 goes to Limerick Animal Welfare.
There will be three categories that you can sign up for on the day. 1) Golden Oldie for dogs age 10+ 2) Most Handsome or Prettiest Pooch and 3)Best rescue. The winner’s owner from the three categories will become the Lough Gurrrrrr Ambassador of the year to help us on social media to promote responsibile dog ownership in public places. The winning dog will will the first ever Lough Gurrrrrr Dog Show Trophy. Book your tickets here

Storytelling with Siobhan – vist the best storyteller for childen in all of Ireland! Siobhan is a good witch who loves to tell stories for children all about Halloween. Join us on Saturday October 22nd at 12 noon in Lough Gur Visitor Centre. There’s no better place to get into that Halloween mood than in the cosy surroundings of Lough Gur Visitor Centre overlooking the ancient lake of Lough Gur. Suitable for children age 4+. Voices from the Past Folklore recordings from the 1930’s interepreted by local historians and folklorists from Lough Gur. This is a rare opportunity to hear new finds unearthed from the archives. The event will be held at Lough Gur Visitor Centre on Sunday 23rd of October at 7pm, Tickets €5.00. Booking line opening soon.
